Executive Management
  • Tommy Williams | Co-Founder
    Tommy Williams

    Thomas L. Williams is a graduate of Penn State University (B.S. Animal Science) and the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI). Representing the third generation of Williams family auctioneers dating back to the mid-1800s, Williams is also a graduate of the historic Reppert School of Auctioneering. He has over 40 years experience in real estate auctions, land development and real estate investment.

    A founding partner of Williams & Williams, Williams served as president from 1986-2000, and became board chairman in 2001. He also co-founded and served as managing partner of Lowderman & Williams Auctioneers from 1965-85. He has conducted over 10,000 auctions in all 48 of the contiguous United States and Canada, and is an advisor to auctions conducted throughout Western Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

    An avid cattleman, Williams also owned and operated Bradmar Angus Farms from 1965-85, after which he continued to serve as a herd and genetics consultant for many of the nation's premier Angus cattle breeders.

    Williams is a licensed auctioneer and real estate broker in over 20 states, and an active member of the National Association of Realtors.

    Dean Williams

    Dean C. Williams is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Williams & Williams Worldwide Real Estate Auction. He is also the principal shareholder and Chairman of Williams Merchant Group™, a global buyer and seller of REO portfolios, and the primary investor in Auction Network™, a live and interactive auction entertainment platform allowing viewers to watch, bid and win around the world in real time auctions.

     

    One of the most visionary leaders in the world of real estate auction, Dean cofounded Williams & Williams in 1986, along with his father, renowned auctioneer Tommy Williams. After spending more than a decade as Managing Partner and General Counsel, Dean became the sole shareholder in 2004. Under his leadership, Williams & Williams has grown into one of the largest and most diverse real estate auction firms in the world, selling nearly 40,000 assets valued at over $4 Billion in the last few years, alone.

    Growing up in a five-generation cattle and real estate auction family, Dean combines a lifetime of studying the art and science of auction with a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from Western Illinois University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law School. A declared Libertarian and voracious student of markets, the economic and social construction of value, and the world of finance, Dean has earned the distinguished Certified Mortgage Banker designation and served as a Future Leader on behalf of the Mortgage Bankers Association. In 2008, he completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

     

    A seasoned speaker on issues facing the housing market, real estate and mortgage finance industries, Dean most recently spoke before an International gathering of mortgage servicing leaders and government regulators at EuroCatalyst’s Distressed Servicing Summit. He has also addressed the Mortgage Bankers Association Annual Conference, the National Auctioneers Association Annual Conference, and the New York Financial Writers’ Association. He has been the author and subject of dozens of articles in industry-leading publications such as Mortgage Banking, American Banker, The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.

  • Pam McKissick | President and Chief Operating Officer, CAI
    Pam McKissick

     Pamela L. McKissick is President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Williams & Williams Worldwide Real Estate Auction. She is also Founder and CEO of Auction Network, a live interactive auction entertainment platform allowing viewers to watch, bid and win around the world in real time auctions.

    The chief business leader of this world-class auction pioneer and collateral risk management company, Pam oversees all aspects of Williams & Williams’ fiscal, strategic, organizational and operational functions. Since joining the company in 2005, Pam has built a sustainable business model that has afforded the company year-over-year expansion and diversification, growing into one of the largest, most cutting edge, and diverse auction firms in the world. During her tenure, Williams & Williams has auctioned nearly 40,000 properties valued at more than $4 Billion.

    During that same period, Pam conceived of and built Auction Network?, the only true multi-platform interactive television network. The network presents hundreds of live real estate auctions every month, with real time, competitive bidding between persons – online, on site and via phone. In addition, Auction Network has televised major auctions including Battlestar Galactica Props and Costumes, The Bob Hope Estate, Grammy’s MusiCares Charity Auction, Wonderful World of Animation and Gibson GuitarTown London.

    Pam’s unique and passionate approach to business leadership, builds upon her keen creative and brand marketing sense and proven ability to navigate corporate strategy to capitalize on growth opportunities. A veteran at leading high-quality, revenue-producing companies, Pam has a successful track record for building organizations into major brands. Prior to joining Williams & Williams, Pam was president and COO of TV Guide Network, an ad-supported, cable and satellite programming network distributed throughout North America. Prior to TV Guide, Pam held several key leadership positions for Walt Disney World and Disney Studios including spearheading the launch of Walt Disney World’s Epcot Center.

    Pam holds a B.A. from Jacksonville University, is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, and is a trained auctioneer, having earned her degree at World Wide College of Auctioneering and her CAI designation.

  • Amy Bates | Senior VP, Marketing
    Amy Bates

    Amy Bates is responsible for advancing the company through the creation of innovative brand and marketing strategies.

    She oversees all aspects of marketing including brand and retail marketing, government and public affairs, research and analytics, and creative services. Bates has extensive experience in crafting brand and sales strategy; and spearheading b2b and b2c marketing campaign strategy, creative and messaging.

    Prior to joining Williams & Williams, Amy spent nearly 10 years in senior marketing roles with Gemstar-TV Guide International, the last five as Senior Vice President of Affiliate Marketing. In that capacity, she led a seasoned team of professionals responsible for crafting marketing strategy to support the growth and revenue goals for a portfolio of technology and entertainment products, interactive services and cable programming networks.

    Prior to Gemstar-TV Guide, Bates was a senior marketing executive at E! Entertainment Television, where she crafted all marketing strategy in the Cable and Satellite sectors to drive network distribution growth and awareness. Bates is a graduate of CTAM U at the Harvard University School of Business and received her B.A. from the College of New Rochelle.

  • Rob Bridges | VP Operations
    Rob Bridges

    Robert Bridges is a licensed attorney and a member of multiple state and local bar associations, as well as the Federal Bar Association. Mr. Bridges is also licensed to practice before the Federal Court – Northern & Eastern Districts. He completed his undergrad degree with honors from West Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science, emphasis on public relations and mass communications. Mr. Bridges next attended Oxford University for Comparative International Law and then received his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University.

    Mr. Bridges joined Williams & Williams in 2005 as its General Counsel and now oversees Operations for the Company. He worked in a law firm environment before joining the Company, and served as corporate counsel to numerous companies throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri. He previously managed the business operations and risk management for an oil and gas company based in Texas. He has over 17 years experience managing business operations and risk, as well as 10 years experience as a general counsel and attorney. Mr. Bridges is a licensed pilot and is very civic-minded, currently active with many local and national charities. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Auctioneer Association.

     

  • Fontana Fitzwilson | SVP, WMG, General Manager
    Fontana Fitzwilson

    Fontana Fitzwilson serves as head of corporate research and strategic development for the Company, with responsibility for all of the company’s research functions including sales and market research, timely consumer and business-to-business information and insight to guide and support corporate, sales and product strategic business objectives. Previous to joining Williams & Williams, Ms. Fitzwilson was the vice president of research at TV Guide, where she directed the domestic and international research of TV Guide Television Group, including the areas of brand equity and positioning, programming, advertising, audience measurement, product and marketing development. She is an honors graduate of the University of Tulsa and a member of the American Marketing Association.

  • Jeff McFadden | Chief Legal Officer & Senior General Counsel
    Jeff McFadden

    Jeff McFadden is the Chief Legal Officer & Senior General Counsel and is responsible for supervising and managing all of the legal matters that affect the business operations of Williams & Williams.

     

    Prior to joining Williams & Williams, McFadden has over 25 years of legal experience as a regulatory, transactional and litigation attorney for clients having national and international operations. He was a partner in a major national law firm and has held positions of increasing responsibility with a number of major U.S. corporations, including New Century Mortgage Corporation, Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc., and Mellon National Corporation.

     

    McFadden is admitted to the bar in California, Texas, Indiana and to United States Supreme Court, along with various other federal courts. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and a licensed real estate broker in the State of California.

     

    McFadden is a summa cum laude graduate from Franklin University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also graduated cum laude, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, with a Juris Doctor.

  • Sheila Sanders | VP Human Resources
    Sheila Sanders

    Sheila Sanders provides leadership and coordination of company human resource functions while also developing and implementing corporate human resource strategy and programs.
    Sanders has over 15 years of human resource experience.  Prior to joining Williams & Williams, she was as regional human resource manager for Dish Network where she managed a team of over 30 human resource professionals.  Prior to her work at Dish Network, Sanders worked for Home Depot in a district human resource role.
    A member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Tulsa Area Human Resource Association (TAHRA), Sanders received her bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Oklahoma and graduated cum laude from Keller Graduate School in Chicago where she earned her master’s in human resource management. She has also received her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification through the Human Resource Certification Institute, and previously held the certification of Professional in Human Resources.

  • Amy Assiter | Auctioneer
    Amy Assiter

    For the past four years, Assiter has succeeded in taking the auction industry by storm, amassing degrees of recognition that have taken some of her peers years to achieve.In February 1999, she won the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association (OSAA) Rookie Champion, and in February 2000, she won the Oklahoma State Reserve Champion. She was the first female in the history of the association to achieve either of these levels.In July 2000, Assiter won her industry's most coveted title of International Auctioneer Champion, (IAC) Women's Division, upon her first time competing. She served as the Goodwill Ambassador for the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) during her reign as the IAC. This responsibility included raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through benefit auctions, conducting educational and motivational seminars and workshops nationwide, and working with the media on behalf of the auction industry.

    Assiter previously worked as a contract Auctioneer with many auction companies nationwide, including conducting everything from autos and heavy equipment auctions to gala benefit auctions and bison to real estate.

    Assiter has been working on educational designations within her field, such as the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) and AARE (Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate) and is highly active in the NAA, Texas Auctioneers Association (TAA) and the OSAA.She has served on many committees, including the St. Jude Fundraising Committee, the International Auctioneer Champion Competition Committee and the Membership Committee. Among her affiliations, she is also a member of Toastmasters, the National Association of Women Business Owners and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

  • Bruce Brooks | Auctioneer
    Bruce Brooks

    Brooks has been an Auctioneer for 30 years and has a passion for auctioning both real estate and cattle. Brooks auctions on average between 85 and 100 registered cattle sales per year when not auctioning homes for Williams & Williams across the nation. His cattle sales are primarily Limousin and Shorthorn breed sales.

    Brooks serves on the board of directors for the Oklahoma Limousin Cattle Association and the Love County, Oklahoma Soil Conservation Service. He is also an active member of the North American Limousin Cattle Association, the American Shorthorn Association, the American Angus Association, the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association and the Oklahoma Limousin Breeders Association. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.

  • Cody S. Lowderman | Auctioneer
    Cody S. Lowderman

    Prior to joining Williams & Williams, Lowderman worked numerous cattle auctions and was involved with his family auction business, which specialized in farmland.

    Lowderman is a licensed Auctioneer in the state of Illinois, and a member of both the Illinois Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association. He was a member of the 2000 National Champion Livestock Judging Team. Lowderman is also a two-time winner for the high individual overall at the North American International Livestock Expo, and a winner for high individual overall at the National Western Stock Show. The Lowderman Auction Company was the first to sell bare farmland for $5,000 per acre within the Midwest Region. Lowderman has a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University.

  • Danny Green | Auctioneer
    Danny Green

    Green comes from a family auction business and has been in the industry for 39 years. He has conducted thoroughbred, standardbred and quarter horse auctions nationwide. Green has also participated in farm and construction equipment auctions in the southwest, as well as auto auctions in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

    Green was named Texas State Champion Auctioneer in 1983-84. He served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Auctioneers Association from 1985-87. He is a former instructor at the Missouri Auction School in Kansas City, and also at the Dallas Auction Academy. Green is a licensed Auctioneer in several states. Most notably, Green has sold thoroughbreds and real estate in the millions on several occasions.

  • Delvin Heldermon | Auctioneer
    Delvin Heldermon

    Delvin Heldermon is an auctioneer for the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based real estate auction and brokerage services firm, Williams & Williams. Heldermon attends live Williams & Williams' real estate auctions, where he markets the property on behalf of the borrower/client and auctions it off to a third-party purchaser at the highest and best offer for the lender.

    Heldermon has experience auctioning purebred cattle. He has participated in the NCHA Futurity Horse Sale, the World Paint Horse Sale, and Standard-bred Horse Sales.

    Delvin Heldermon has set record-setting sales for Keeneland horses, Angus cattle, Brangas cattle, Cutting horses, Limousin cattle, Shorthorn cattle, and Standard-bred horses. Delvin Heldermon has also participated in the Cowboy Hall of Fame Art Auction, Ducks Unlimited and the Junior Livestock Show Premium Auctions.

    DeRon Heldermon

    DeRon Heldermon is an auctioneer for the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based real estate auction and brokerage services firm, Williams & Williams. Heldermon attends live Williams & Williams' real estate auctions, where he markets the property on behalf of the borrower/client and auctions it off to a third-party purchaser at the highest and best o ffer for the lender.

    Heldermon has experience auctioning Limousine cattle across the U.S. He has also participated in art sales, horse sales, junior livestock auctions and benefit auctions.

    DeRon Heldermon is on the marketing committee for the North American Limousin Cattle Association. He has had exceptional sales at the National Limousin Sale in Denver, Colorado, the Annual Art Sale at the National Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, the Heritage Place Horse Sale and the Oklahoma Youth Expo Junior Livestock Auction. He also participated in the Skelly Estate that grossed over $8 million in Tulsa, Oklahoma. DeRon Heldermon received a degree in agriculture education from Oklahoma State University.

  • Dick Carmichael | Auctioneer
    Dick Carmichael

    Carmichael has been involved in the auction business since 1970, with a focus during that time on purebred livestock. He served as the field man for various livestock publications including the Drovers Journal, Charolais Banner, Charolais Journal and Farm Progress Company.

    Carmichael has worked predominantly in the purebred beef cattle industry, but he has also had vast experience working ringside at alpaca sales, llama sales, Quarter Horse sales and Standardbred horse sales across the United States. In addition to working the ring, he owned his own purebred Charolais sale management business for 15 years. Carmichael conducted and managed over 200 auction sales in the United States and Canada, many of which set selling records that still stand today. He is a strong supporter of National Junior Breed Association fundraising activities, as well as those of the 4-H and FFA programs. Carmichael earned his bachelor's degree in animal science from Purdue University

  • E.C. Larkin, Jr. | Auctioneer
    E.C. Larkin, Jr.

    Larkin has been working auctions for more than 35 years. He started working for a purebred cattle magazine shortly after college and has been working for cattle publications ever since, which involves working purebred cattle auctions every week. He has worked the Keeneland Thoroughbred Horse Auctions in Lexington KY, for more than 25 years. Larkin has also been involved in the Ocala Thoroughbred Horse Sales in Florida; the National Cutting Horse Futurity Sales in Fort Worth, Texas; Kentucky and Pennsylvania Standard-bred horse sales; Texas Art Galleries in Dallas; and Altermann Galleries & Auctioneers in Santa Fe, N.M.

    He has also sold real estate and equipment.

    Larkin is a member and past president of both the Livestock Publication Council (LPC), and the South Texas Farm & Ranch Club. He's also a member and current president of the Texas Purebred Cattle Alliance. Larkin is a certified Texas Real Estate Broker and a certified Texas Auctioneer. He earned his bachelor's degree from East Texas State University. Most notably, E.C. Larkin Jr. was inducted into the Livestock Publication Council Hall of Fame in 2001.

  • Gordon Kimberling, Jr. | Auctioneer
    Gordon Kimberling, Jr.

    With more than 30 years of experience in auctioneering, Kimberling has worked with such businesses as HB Green Furniture Auction, Stewart Allen Furniture Auction, Harrisburg Sales Co, TQHA Sale, All American Sale, Pacific Coast Sale and Fasig Tipton.He was also a ringman for Heritage Place and Louisiana Quarter Horse Association Sale. Kimberling is also the owner of Kimberling Furniture, a seven-year business.

    Kimberling is a member of the Better Business Bureau and Who's Who of Furniture Business.He is also a member of the Burleson Chamber of Commerce.

    Kimberling attended Texas Wesleyan University and University of Texas at Arlington.

  • Jack Hedrick | Auctioneer
    Jack Hedrick

    In addition to working as an Auctioneer for Williams & Williams, Hedrick continues to own and operate a cattle ring service and a consulting and sales management firm (JDH Marketing Services) based in Columbus, Miss. Working as a ringman, Hedrick has traveled across America. Hedrick also worked previously at National Cattle Services where he gained expertise in sales, public relations and promotion.

    Hedrick attended Mississippi State University and is a 1976 graduate of Superior Auction School in Decatur, Ill.Hedrick is a member of the National Cattlemen's Association, Alabama and Mississippi Cattlemen's Association and the past president of Mississippi Hereford Association.

    Jack L. Lowderman

    Jack L. Lowderman is an auctioneer for the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based real estate auction and brokerage services firm, Williams & Williams. Lowderman attends live Williams & Williams' real estate auctions, where he markets the property on behalf of the borrower/client and auctions it off to a third-party purchaser at the highest and best offer for the lender.

    With more than 40 years of experience in auctioneering, Lowderman is the founder and owner of Lowderman Auction Company. In its 43 years of operation, Lowderman's company has expanded to include services such as marketing of agriculture, residential and commercial real estate, personal property including machinery and equipment, antiques and collectibles, jewelry, specialty items, vehicles and livestock.

    Lowderman has competed in and won numerous auctioneer championships over the last three decades. He holds memberships with the National Auctioneers Association, Illinois State Auctioneers Association, American Hereford Association and Beef Association. Lowderman has also served as president and board member of the Polled Hereford Association.

    Jack L. Lowderman is a graduate of Reisch College of Auctioneering and Certified Appraisal Institute. He also attended Quincy Business College.

  • James M. Birdwell | Auctioneer
    James M. Birdwell

    Birdwell has 25 years of auction experience, including purebred livestock auctions with all breeds of beef cattle.Birdwell has experience with Standardbred horse sales in Lexington, Ky.; Columbus, Ohio; and Harrisburg, Pa. He has also sold machinery and real estate and is licensed in several states.In 2005, Birdwell held more than 125 auctions in 30 states.

    Birdwell is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, National Cutting Horse Association, and is currently serving as president of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association.

    Birdwell earned his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University.

  • John S. Nicholls | Auctioneer
    John S. Nicholls

    John S. Nicholls, one of the top auctioneers in the real estate industry has been part of the Williams & Williams elite auctioneering team for nearly 2 years. On a monthly basis, John and his team of ringmen travel the east coast of the United States auctioning numerous residential properties for our company.

    A second generation auctioneer, John conducts over 250 auctions per year for Fortune 500 companies and is a licensed realtor. John is an active member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Virginia Auctioneers Association where he has served on the Board of Directors, numerous committees, and is currently President. He also serves as a featured instructor at the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, IA, and has instructed at Reppert's School of Auctioneering in Auburn, IN. John has had the honor to represent the auction profession at the National Association of Realtors Convention, St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, as a guest on the TODAY Show and on a real estate auction consulting trip to South Africa.

    John is also one of auctioneers at the prestigious Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. These multi-million dollar auctions are held three times in year in Scottsdale, AZ, West Palm Beach, FL, and Las Vegas, NV.

    John is a graduate of Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, with a BA in Psychology and a MS in Personnel Services. In 1990, John graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. Nicholls also serves on the Boards of Virginia Community Bank, the Spotsylvania County Economic Development Authority, the Rappahannock YMCA, the World Automobile Auctioneers Professional Association, and the Joe Gibbs Youth for Tomorrow Foundation.

    Some of John's accomplishments include the following: 1990 Virginia Auctioneers Association Rookie of the Year, 1994 Virginia State Champion Auctioneer, 2003 Virginia Auctioneer of the Year, 2003 World Automobile Auctioneer Champion (Nashville, TN), and 2006-07 NAA Men's Division Champion of the International Auctioneer's Championship (Orlando, FL).

  • Kevin Wendt | Auctioneer
    Kevin Wendt

    Wendt conducts over 125 purebred livestock auctions per year, selling beef cattle, swine, sheep, goats and miniature donkeys nationwide.Wendt was named the 2006 Ohio State Auctioneer Bid Calling Champion and served as president for the Ohio Auctioneer Association.He has also been the Advertising Contest Winner for Ohio, Indiana and the National Auctioneers Association.

    Wendt earned his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Ohio Auctioneers Association and the Indiana Auctioneers Association.He obtained his real estate broker certification from Ohio and is actively licensed for auctioneering in 12 states.Wendt also holds several world records in sales and auctions.

  • Matt Sims | Auctioneer
    Matt Sims

    Sims is the owner and operator of MCS Auction, LLC, a purebred cattle auction and sales management firm based in Edmond, Okla., that conducts auctions across the United States.

    Sims also worked with Farm Progress Companies, as a livestock sales representative. He is a member of Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association, Oklahoma Angus Association and American Angus Association. Sims received his bachelor's degree in animal science from Oklahoma State University, where he was a member of the 1991 National Champion Livestock Judging Team, and is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School.

    Monte Lowderman

    Monte Lowderman, one of the nation's top auctioneers, has been a leading member of Williams & Williams elite team of auctioneers for nearly 20 years. Over his career, Monte and his team of ringmen have auctioned thousands of properties for our company throughout the eastern half of the United States.

    A second generation Auctioneer, Monte considers auction to be a family affair. Between his father Jack, and brother Cody, both of whom also serve as Williams & Williams Auctioneers, the family can boast nearly 100 years of experience within their profession. In his spare time, Lowderman is also involved in several family run businesses which include the Lowderman Auction Company, and Lowderman Cattle, a company that has been in business for three generations and produces award-winning cattle.

    Lowderman earned his Bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University and graduated from the Missouri Auction School at the age of 19. Lowderman is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, American Hereford Association, American Angus Association, Illinois Beef Association and the National Cattlemen's Association. He also serves on the Board of Governors for the Illinois State Auctioneers Association.

    In 2007, Lowderman was elected to the National Auctioneers Association Board of Directors. He was also recently selected as a finalist in the International Auctioneer Championship and is the Illinois State Champion Auctioneer. Additional accolades also include the Outstanding Service Award, as selected by the Illinois Polled Hereford Association, and the Contribution and Dedication Recognition Award from Ducks Unlimited.

    Booth has served as an Auctioneer for more than 4,000 registered cattle and horse auctions and numerous real estate auctions in 41 states and Canada during a career that spans over 30 years. Booth has auctioned five different breeds of cattle for national auctions and conducted numerous charity and benefit auctions for groups like Quail Unlimited, Junior Livestock, Buckmasters and the Miami Arts and Humanities Council. He is a former auction school instructor at New Mexico State University.

    Booth was honored with the Graduate of Distinction Award upon graduating from OklahomaStateUniversity in 1995. He has served as president of the board of directors for the North American Limousin Foundation, and as a director of the Oklahoma Limousin Breeders Association, which honored him in 1997 with its Lifetime Achievement Award.Booth is also a board member for the Express Ranches Junior National Scholarship Program, and a member of the National Auctioneers Association.

    For nearly 25 years, Barnes has owned and operated an auction business starting in Oklahoma selling purebred cattle.He later moved to Alabama and expanded his business to include oil field and construction equipment and real estate sales.Shortly thereafter, he expanded his business once more to include U.S. Marshal and Alabama state surplus sales. Currently, Barnes' business sells cattle in 20 states.

    Barnes earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the Alabama State Board of Auctioneers and has served as board chairman for the last two years. Barnes is also a member of the Alabama Auctioneer Association and was awarded the Cattlemen's Association Auctioneer of the Year in 1999.

    Assiter founded his own auction company, Assiter & Associates Auctioneers, in 1983.He has since become one of the most dynamic and sought after auctioneers in the world.Assiter has conducted auctions across the United States, London and multiple times in Canada. He has conducted weekly engagements with wholesale auto auction companies in San Diego, Las Vegas, Dallas, Phoenix and Denver.These auctions hire Assiter weekly for the sale of factory automobile inventories including Honda, Jaguar, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Chrysler, Ford and General Motors.

    For the last 12 years in Scottsdale, Ariz., Assiter has sold the Barrett Jackson Classic Car Auction, which is billed as the greatest collector car auction in the world and is televised on SpeedChannel. He is currently one of five auctioneers for the Keeneland Thoroughbred Racing Association -- the largest Thoroughbred horse auction in the world. He has also sold Red Baron's Architectural Antiques in Atlanta, Ga., which sells millions of dollars worth of antiques quarterly. He has twice worked with Superior-Livestock Auction Company. He has not only sold commercial cattle, but has also dabbled in purebred cattle and Arabian horse auctions.

    Assiter earned his master of business administration in 1981 and bachelor of science in speech-mass communications in 1979 at West Texas State University.He attended Indiana University in 1989 to obtain the Certified Auctioneer (CAI) designation.Assiter received his degree from World Wide College of Auctioneering in 1975.He has conducted seminars on the auction method of marketing at national conventions in Lexington, Ky.; Atlanta, Ga.; and Cancun, Mexico, and has spoken at over 50 state conventions.He is currently under contract as an instructor at the World Wide College of Auctioneering located in Mason City, Iowa, and has been a guest instructor at the World Champion College of Auctioneering in Bakersfield, Calif., the Texas Auction Academy located in Dallas and the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in Highpoint, N.C.

    In 2007, Assiter was inducted into the National Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame.In 1991, at the National Auctioneers Association Convention held in Omaha, Neb., he was selected International Champion Auctioneer. He was recognized again in 1994 in Denver, when he was elected to the National Auctioneers Association's Board of Directors.He has served as chairman of the Public Relations Committee, chairman or member of the International Auctioneer Championship Committee for six years, member of the Long Range Planning Committee and on various other committees for the National Auctioneers Association.His list of achievements also includes being the 1991 Texas State Champion Auctioneer and serving as past president and in every office except secretary/treasurer for the Texas Auctioneers Association.
